The Law

The first part of the Bible is called The Law, and it tells how the world began, how people were created, and how God chose a special group of people called the Israelites. It starts with stories about big events like how God made everything, a big flood, and a man named Abraham who trusted God. Then it tells how the Israelites became slaves in Egypt and how God helped them escape. After that, God gave them special rules to live by, like the Ten Commandments, to help them be kind and fair. This part of the Bible shows how God wants people to love Him and each other.

History

The History part of the Bible tells the true stories of how the Israelites lived after they left Egypt. It shows how they moved into the land God promised them and how they had to fight battles and work together. Sometimes they followed God, and things went well. But other times they didn’t listen, and they had problems. This section talks about kings like David and Solomon, and how the people built a big temple to worship God. It also tells how the people were taken away from their land because they didn’t follow God’s ways, but later, some of them got to come back and rebuild their homes. It’s all about learning from the past and trusting God.

Major Prophets

The Major Prophets are books written by special messengers called prophets, who shared important messages from God. These prophets spoke to the people when they were making bad choices and forgetting about God. They warned that if the people didn’t change, bad things would happen, like losing their homes. But they also gave hope, saying that God still loved them and had good plans for the future. These books talk about listening to God, turning away from sin, and trusting that God will help and save His people, even when things are hard.

Minor Prophets

The Minor Prophets are twelve short books written by prophets who also shared messages from God. They might be called “minor” because the books are shorter, but their messages are still super important. These prophets warned people to stop doing wrong things and reminded them to love God and be fair to others. Some talked about hard times coming, but they also shared hope that God would forgive and help His people if they turned back to Him. These books teach us to listen to God, do what’s right, and remember that God is always with us.

History

The History part of the New Testament is found in one book called Acts, short for Acts of the Apostles. It tells what happened after Jesus went back to heaven. His friends, called the apostles, went out to share the good news about Jesus with people all over the world. They started churches, helped others, and did miracles through the power of the Holy Spirit. Even when things got hard and people tried to stop them, they kept spreading God’s love. This book shows how the church began and how God used ordinary people to do amazing things.

The Gospels

The Gospels are four books that tell the true story of Jesus’ life. They share how He was born, the amazing things He did—like healing people and calming storms—and how He taught others about God’s love. They also tell how Jesus died on the cross for our sins and came back to life three days later. The Gospels help us understand who Jesus is, why He came to earth, and how much He cares about every person. They show us how to follow Him and live with love, kindness, and faith.

Prophecy

The Prophecy book in the New Testament is called Revelation. It was written by a man named John, who had a special vision from God about the future. In this book, John saw pictures of what will happen when Jesus comes back one day. Some of the things he saw were hard to understand and very mysterious, but the book also tells us that in the end, God will make everything new and perfect. It reminds us to be ready for Jesus’ return and to keep trusting God, knowing that good will win over evil.

General Epistles - Letters from Other Leaders

The General Epistles are letters written by other leaders in the early church, like James, Peter, John, and Jude. These letters were sent to all kinds of people, not just one church, to teach them about God’s love, how to be strong in faith, and how to live in a way that pleases God. They talked about things like helping others, being kind, and not giving up when life gets tough. These letters remind us how to follow Jesus and keep our hearts close to God, no matter what happens.
